Festival Schedule


From Saturday, June 25, 2016 (2017 festival schedule not available yet)

9-9:45 a.m.     Morning yoga outdoors in the park: free, bring your mat (some mats will also be available)

9-11 a.m.     River race registration at UWP Booth next to band stage

10 a.m.     Silent Auction bidding begins

10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.     Kids Eddy: face painting by Voyager Youth Program and watershed education by local nonprofits, natural resource groups and parks & wildlife agencies

10 a.m.-6 p.m.     Food stands, beer and margarita sales start

10:30 a.m.     River race safety briefing

11:15 a.m. – 12 noon     River races: standup paddleboard,hardshell boat, and inflatable boat races.

12 noon – 1:30 p.m.     Yogini Circus stage performance & free kids circus training, featuring Sara Doehrman & Heather Toth

1 p.m.     Whitewater rodeo where river recreation experts show us their skills

1:30-2 p.m.     Ute cultural presentation by Uncompahgre Ute Historian Roland McCook – great, great grandson of Chief Ouray & Chipeta

2-2:10 p.m.     special tribute to the late Gerry Weaver by Ridgway Mayor John Clark

2:15 p.m.     River rescue demonstration by the Ouray Search & Rescue Team

2:40-3 p.m.     Junk of the Unc Race: Bring your homemade watercraft and see how it floats on our short course on the Uncompahgre River at Rollans Park.

3-6 p.m.     Live Music by New Orleans Blues Guitarist Kipori “Baby Wolf” Woods  (with a 20-minute break at 4:30)

4:30 p.m.     River Race Awards Ceremony

5 p.m.     Silent Auction bidding closes 

5:30 p.m.     Silent Auction winners announced 

5:30-6 p.m.     Silent Auction winners can pick up items
