In April, Ridgway RiverFest Coordinator Tanya Ishikawa made a presentation during the Ignite event at the Sherbino Theater in Ridgway. While we had a great audience that night, we wanted to spread the good information wider throughout the community (and the state). So, here is a video about what the Junk of the Unc is and how to build and compete. Instead of listening to my voice, I added original jazz music by Yasuo Ishikawa and The Sobo Four to the video. (But, if you have questions that aren’t answered by the text on the slides, feel free to email tanya@uncompahgrewatershed.org to ask.)
The Junk of the Unc winners will win limited-edition, handcrafted awards by Deidra Krois at Wishing Star Pottery and Joanne Taplin at JT Metalworks. Plus, the winner of the best use of repurposed materials will win a prize package from RIGS Fly Shop & Guide Service.
