The 2024 Ridgway RiverFest on June 29 saw a very small contingent of boaters in our racers again this year. IN fact, everyone who entered won! The winners of all race categories won a limited edition 2024 Ridgway RiverFest award, handcrafted by Ridgway artists Deidra Krois and Joanne Taplin and donated by Canyon Bridge, plus a pair of sunglasses donated by RIGS Fly Shop & Guide Service.
Hard-shell Boat Race Winner: 1st place- Lisa Boyko of Montrose – who was also the overall race winner, coming in faster than all other competitors
Stand-up Paddleboard Race Winners: (inflatable and hardshell boards) 1st place- Scott Powers of Ridgway, 2nd place- Sean Kearns of Telluride, 3rd place- Sara Ballantyne of Ridgway, 4th place- Jason Burnell of Montrose, 5th place- Carol Dix of Montrose, and 6th place- Susie Meade of Ridgway

Junk of the Unc WinnersBest use of repurposed materials & Fastest: Willy Krois of Ridgway, winning a $515 personal training and gym membership from Cora Fitness!
Best of youth and most artistic: Porter Hildreth and Creede Slater, winning a Patagonia backpack, two sweatshirts from Mountain Fever Shirts & Gifts, and hats (all three competitors also received $20 gift certificates donated by Ridgway Hardware)
Rubber Ducky Hunt: A grand prize winner was awarded a certificate for a lodging and dining package from MTN Lodge Ridgway and Million Roadhouse, valued at $350, while other winners received family passes to the Ute Indian Museum and the best dressed hunter won a UWP shirt and hat.
