Get great deals on a wide range of products and services, donated by UWP’s supporters, when you shop at Ridgway RiverFest in Rollans Park from 3 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 27!
STEP 1: Read the product and service descriptions on “bid sheets” on clipboards. Do you want to buy it? Please write your name, phone number and “bid” (the amount you want to pay) in the table on the bid sheet. Bids start at 45% of the items’ retail value!
STEP 2: Other people, who want to bid on an item, will write their name, phone number and bid amount on the next line below the last bidder. Are you willing to pay more? Please bid by the designated “Bid Increment” ($2, $5 or $10 based on the retail value). You can bid even higher if you want to have a better chance to buy the item.
TIP: Do you want to buy the item right away (so you don’t have to wait to find out if you win the bid)? You can use the “Buy It Now” option. Skip bidding and buy the item right away for 10% off the retail value for products and 5% off the retail value for gift certificates. Please pick up the clipboard with the bid sheet, take it to the UWP Information Booth, tell them you want to buy it now, and you can pay by cash or credit card.
STEP 3: At two set times called “waves” during the festival, final bids will be underlined and the last, highest bidder gets to buy that item. Wave 1 ends at 5:45 p.m. Wave 2 ends at 6:30 p.m.
STEP 4: When each wave ends, please go to the silent auction tables to check if you have the winning bid. If you do, please only take the clipboard with bid sheet (not the product) to the UWP Information Booth where you can pay. Then take the proof of payment back to the Silent Auction tent to get your purchased item from the volunteer there.
PLEASE NOTE: All purchases/payments must be made by cash or credit card by 7 p.m. on festival day, June 27. If highest bidders on the lowest line are not present, the items may be sold to the next highest bidder. (We generally don’t call or text the winning bidders due to limited time.)
