The Junk of the Unc homemade watercraft competition is the highlight of Ridgway RiverFest, even if it goes by quickly!
Festival organizers welcome individuals, families, companies, and any organization to foster teamwork, creativity and engineering skills by building and floating a Junk down the Unc at the festival (annually on the last Saturday of June).
Top prize for 2025: $500 boat rental from Ridgway State Park!
Second prize for 2025: $200 gift certificate to Best Slope Adventure Company for boat/tube rental or guided trip on Uncompahgre River
